Steve Spielberg’s Oscar-nominated film about the negotiation for a prisoner exchange during the Cold War is a slow burn but very effectively done, featuring some fantastic performances by Tom Hanks and Mark Rylance. If you missed this one in theaters, it’s very much worth checking out in your home cinema. Special features include behind-the-scenes featurettes about the Cold War and the effects of the U-2 plane crash.

This Week: Kevin bows down and gives thanks to there actually being Halloween-themed movies in the theaters this year, as opposed to recent years when everyone would get out of the way of the latest Saw movie. However, before reviewing the spooky selections, he sounds off on some news stories and takes a look at the trailer for the new Coen Brothers’ movie. Then, it’s on to the reviews of Goosebumps, Bridge of Spies, Crimson Peak and Tales of Halloween. Finally, he finishes off the show with a look at the 7th Annual 24-Hour Horror Movie Marathon, an interview with his son Ben about My Little Pony, gives info on the box office and offers some suggestions in the DVD Round-Up!
