This Week: Kevin trudges through the January releases by bemoaning more found footage nonsense with Devil’s Due. He also gives a nod to some better films this weekend, including Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, Ride Along and The Nut Job, with the inclusion of a surprise guest reviewer. Of course, this is after he gives his thoughts on the Golden Globes, the awful Razzies and the Oscar nominations. Later, Kevin answers a listener email, talks box office, sounds off on some news that will probably get him in trouble and cracks the whip on the world-famous DVD Round-Up!

Kevin quickly moves on to talk about something more intellectual: Doctor Who. Later, Kevin reviews 47 Ronin, Grudge Match, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and The Wolf of Wall Street. In the final segment, Kevin reviews the past box office numbers, offers scant DVD and Blu-ray recommendations, then dissects the morality of Frosty the Snowman.

Posted on October 17, 2013

This Week: The Halloween month continues, and so does at least one horror movie release. Other films on the docket include The Fifth Estate, which they swear they didn’t stream off a pirate server, and Paradise which puts Julianne Hough’s acting ability against that of Russell Brand playing Kevin’s father. Then, it’s on to DVD recommendations and some bizarre news shenanigans involving Madonna, the real Captain Phillips and Charlie Hunnam opening a path to Kevin’s superstardom as a motion picture sex symbol.

There’s also a drive-by on the new Romeo and Juliet film, and Kevin expresses his desires for the movie to have more robots and monsters in it (along with his desire for Captain Phillips to be about Popeye).
