Now a bona fide hit on the Disney Channel, “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” is out with a new DVD. “Sweet Suite Victory” features three episodes from the popular show, which follows troublemaking twins who live in a swanky hotel. With Zack and Cody’s characters bringing in the male audience, Brenda Song and Ashley Tisdale bring in the female audience as the rich daughter and the candy-counter girl, respectively.
Fans of the show are going to love the admittedly small collection of episodes on this disc, showing the boys as 11 year olds, not as cute as they were when they started the show. However, the series is paced well, and it balances slapstick with teenybopper drama.
The episodes feature the twins having a fall-out from their indie band, both of them vying for class president and then London (Song) and Maddie (Tisdale) trying to one-up each other with their sweet sixteen parties. The DVD includes a gag reel and a trivia challenge that’s harder than you might think… unless you’re an avid reader of “Tiger Beat.”
