This Week: Kevin continues with his month of horror movies for October, but not before weighing in on the news of the week, including silly claims by Kevin Smith, reboot news, why Netflix’s new deals aren’t that new, and why he is totally okay with the new direction of Twilight. Then, it’s off to review the new films: Annabelle, Gone Girl, Left Behind, Stephen King’s A Good Marriage and The Two Faces of January. Kevin also wraps things up with the box office and the world-famous DVD Round-up! Boo times two!

Episode 310 – An Armenian Paris Hilton with a Big Butt

This Week: Kevin tries to claim credit for his box office predictions, but Kristin quickly becomes hip to his jive-turkey plan. Soon, Kevin moves on to analyze the similarities between Michael Bay movies and the Twilight franchise, suggesting that if one type is dangerous and offensive, the other is as well. Eventually, they move on to reviewing the new films out there (or rather reviewing the one film they actually had a chance to see). They stick it to G.I. Joe: Retaliation and then show some relief for not having to sit through the new films from Stephenie Meyer and Tyler Perry. Kevin takes the opportunity to offend people with a statement of sacrilege before prattling on about his spring break Trekathon. Meanwhile, Kristin hangs her head in shame for her co-host.

They also talk about Silver Linings Playbook and Kevin gloats about his accuracy in James Bond box office predictions. Then, it’s onto the DVD Round-Up before curling up in a ball and weeping at the loss of the Twilight films from our collective popular culture.

The Idiot Boxers – Episode 45

In this very special episode: It’s November sweeps, and the Idiots are damn tired of watching television. Merrill overdosed on pretty much every program he follows while Kevin mistakenly swept all the rooms in his house. The Idiots chat about disasters in The Cheesecake Factory and the new Twilight movie. Then they launch into plenty of TV news before running down the shows. After a meaty segment about the good shows on TV, they head into the Sound-Off segment and the DVD recommendations. Then they quickly race out of the Magical Studio in the Sky so they can get ready for Turkey Day coming up this week.

Episode 239 – That’s Grosser Than Anything I Could Have Said

This Week: In order to combat the estrogen explosion in the movie theaters this weekend with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part I, Kevin invites Dame Elisabeth Rappe into the Magical Studio in the Sky for the female perspective. However, she’s not a fan, and they end up dissecting the movie with more precision than Edward’s vampires teeth on Bella’s uterus. They also break down Happy Feet Two and examine whether cute penguins and snappy dance numbers can actually make a good movie (spoiler alert… they can’t). Then they respond to a listener voice mail and lay down a Fat Guy Five about movie birth scenes, and not in the good way.

But before they give the rundown on the new and returning shows, they talk about Facebook, Netflix Twi-hards, Nikki Finke and a burned dog butt. Then they move on to television news before giving feedback on the good (like New Girl), the bad (like Whitney) and the ugly (like Charlie’s Angels). Then they move on to the Sound Offs, DVD suggestions and the Idiot Recommendations before sailing off into the sunset. This Week: Kevin was feeling a bit under the weather, so he called in Dr. Cole Abaius from Film School Rejects and Reject Radio to make a house call to the Magical Studio in the Sky. While there, Dr. Abaius stuck around to talk about the latest movies, extreme female lactation, full-grown live human births, The Mountains of Madness, Red State and why box office pundits are like political scientists. There’s an alarmingly cogent disucssion of Hollywood trends and box office, but Kevin makes sure to derail it all with a quip about Drew Barrymore. After a brief Fat Guy Five, the good Doctor and his chubby sidekick lay down some DVD and Blu-ray reviews. Hoo-rah!
