This Week: Kevin is upset about many things in this world, and he wants to change them. He comes to the conclusion that the only way to do this is through the dance and protest art. Unfortunately, Kevin can’t dance worth a damn. So he invites Gleekast co-host Emily Intravia into the Magical Studio in the Sky to talk about dance and protest art with the new dance flick Step Up Revolution. They also talk about alien invasions and movies about writers with The Watch and Ruby Sparks. They also talk some more about The Dark Knight Rises, Taylor Kitsch’s flailing career and some DVD recommendations. When it comes to the reviews, they really step up. (You see what I did there?)

The Idiot Boxers – Episode 62
In this very special episode: The Idiots hit a variety of topics this week, starting with some reactions to the Aurora theater shootings and shaming people on both sides of the aisle for politicizing the tragedy. They also rip box office whore Nikki Finke a couple new ones for her reporting on the event. (Note: If you want to skip these elements of the podcast, scoot ahead to the 22:00 mark to hear the normal Idiot Boxers shenanigans.) Then the Idiots talk about other things that have been on their minds, including traffic accidents, kids playing poker and anal sex. This Week: As Kevin girds his loins for the much-anticipated release of The Dark Knight Rises, he invites fellow Film School Reject Brian Salisbury to join him in the Magical Studio in the Sky to talk about the latest Batman installment. They also throw down about various fanboy battles, including where they stand on Star Wars, Indiana Jones, M. Night Shyamalan’s career and James Bond theme songs. After dissecting The Dark Knight Rises in a very spoiler-free way (though there might be an Inception spoiler or two in there) before answering a listener email and laying out the Fat Guy Five about overhyped films. Then it’s on to the last segment, where they recommend some DVDs and fly off into the night using their Batarangs.

The Idiot Boxers – Episode 57
In this very special episode: It’s winding down through May sweeps, and there’s tons of renewal, cancellation and pick-up news. So the Idiots have a busy time ahead of them. But that doesn’t stop them from getting sidetracked about The Avengers and other summer movies. A surprisingly grumpy Kevin also rants about TIME Magazine’s breastfeeding cover and also complains about Mother’s Day. The Idiots talk about a selection of new shows coming in the fall as well as the peculiarities of some shows that were renewed or canceled. They also go blue in the third segment, talking about what they would be willing to do to make money in the new year. They also go over the recent box office numbers and lay down a Fat Guy Five about great exorcist moments in film. Finally, they chat about the new DVDs and Blu-rays for the week before heading back out into that cold wasteland of January films.
