Episode 102 – A Fat Guy Reunion of Sorts

Posted on February 6, 2009

On This Week’s Show: Neil finally returns to the Magical Studio in the Sky with stories from the land of milk and honey, otherwise known as the Sundance Film Festival. Kevin celebrates the return by berating him for only seeing one movie this week, although Neil defends himself because he saw 143 movies at the festival. They explore topics like Steve Martin filling Peter Sellers’ shoes, why Neil wants to buy Maggie Grace from an international slavery ring and how it seems the best scene this week featuring Dakota Fanning requires her to be drunk. And even though Kevin missed Neil greatly, he refuses to hug him without his shirt on, unlike those swishy pilots from the 80s classic Top Gun.

Films Reviewed this Week: Pink Panther 2, Coraline, Push and He’s Just Not That Into You.

Episode 100 – A Fat Guy Centennial

Posted on January 22, 2009

On This Week’s Show: Neil is still schmoozing in Park City for the Sundance Film Festival, so Kevin is holding down the fort with guest host David Medsker from Bullz-eye.com. It’s a lighter week for movies, so in the midst of talking about werewolves, vampires and Brendan Fraser reading (ha! like he reads!), Kevin and David discuss what might happen to sexy tattoos in 40 or 50 years, TV girlfriends and Rhona Mitra’s lumpy knees. And it’s the 100th episode of Fat Guys at the Movies, so you have that to be happy about!

Films Reviewed this Week: Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, Inkheart and Last Chance Harvey.

Episode 50 – A Reunion of Sorts

Posted on January 31, 2008

On This Week’s Show: Neil returns from the very snowy, celebrity filled mountains of Utah to boast about rubbing elbows with Colin Farrell at the Sundance Film Festival. He also brings back a list of ten films that everyone should keep an eye on. The guys then review a bunch of films that neither of them have seen — further proof that studios fear their clout. Or their girth.

Films Reviewed this Week: Over Her Dead Body, Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: The Best of Both Worlds, The Eye and Strange Wilderness.
