OSNAP: Chumbawumba Life Lessons
When the bloggers are away, Kevin and Merrill will play, but not before Merrill reveals what a terrible student he is. Kevin bemoans the romanticizing of America’s premiere film festival, Sundance while at the same time… complimenting Merrill on his writing skills? All of it leads to a conversation about Jennifer Lawerance, Lena Dunham and the prospects Merrill has for his generation. Oh, snap!

Episode 249 – Blowing Holes in These Bastards’ Crotches

Posted on January 26, 2012

This Week: Kevin invites fellow Film School Rejects writer Rob Hunter back to the Magical Studio in the Sky, where they fend off hungry wolves, ex-con jumpers and Katherine Heigl movies. They chat about the new films of hte week, then move into the infamous middle segment where they chew the fat about Sundance. Kevin also blows holes in the “Kevolution” that the lesser Kevin (Smith) claims to have created. They also weigh on on the Oscar nominations and lay down a Fat Guy Five about Man vs. Nature films. Then it’s off to the DVD Round-up, where Rob Hunter declares human trafficking to be “good fun.” Yikes!

Also, in honor of The Mechanic, Kevin and Tim lay down a Fat Guy Five about which action movies deserve a remake.

Episode 151 – From Paris With Fat

Posted on February 5, 2010

On This Week’s Show: Neil has finished his gallivanting, and he makes his triumphant return to the Magical Studio in the Sky, only to promptly put his foot in his mouth by comparing the harrowing days of the Sundance Film Festival to the war in Afghanistan. Kevin quickly saves the day by calling shenanigans on John Travolta for adopting his super-cool badass look, then puts his own foot in his mouth by suggesting that Kathryn Bigelow will win the Oscar because she’s a woman. Get ready to be offended, folks! The Fat Guys are back in action. (And by “action,” we mean “sitting their fat asses on the couch.”)

Episode 99 – Notorious F.A.T. Guys (and a Girl)

Posted on January 16, 2009

On This Week’s Show: Neil is hobnobbing around Park City, Utah with his flunkies, hoping to score some make-out moments with John Stamos or Garry Shandling. So, Kevin is left in the Magical Studio in the Sky with special guest host Kristin Dreyer Kramer from NightsAndWeekends.com. Together they take a look at the infamous (and dare we say Notorious) January releases. They also vent about Megan Fox, Mickey Rourke and the Golden Globes while welcoming back another guest appearance by the Neil Miller Sock Puppet mascot. And Kristin is afraid that she is being stalked by a guy in a blaze-orange coat. Eeek!

Films Reviewed this Week: Hotel for Dogs, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, My Bloody Valentine 3D, Notorious and Defiance.
