Episode 337 – Happy Glasses

This Week: Kevin jumps in by igniting the holiday spirit in the Magical Studio in the Sky. No, not Christmas, but Halloween, which means horror movies abound for the month. Kristin and he answer a listener voice mail about Breaking Bad (even though neither watches the show), then they move on to the big movie news and raise their glasses to the recently deceased Tom Clancy. Then it’s on to the movie reviews, which includes Gravity, Runner Runner and Dario Argento’s Bat-shit Crazy Dracula. Finally, they give some box office predictions and talk about the new movies available on disc. Boo!

Episode 323 – No Poop in the Sink

This Week: Kristin and Kevin prepare for the upcoming 4th of July week by chanting “U! S! A! U! S! A!” in the Magical Studio in the Sky and painting Kevin’s belly red, white and blue. But before all that happens, they look at the box office and Kevin takes another stab at a victory dance. They hit on some big news stories about Liam Neeson in Tak3n, the stupidly-named Independence Day sequel and the premium movie theater seating experiment. Later, Kevin reviews White House Down, but first Kristin goes on an rant about The Heat that lasts an entire segments. Finally, they suggest some good 4th of July movies and give scant DVD and Blu-ray recommendations.

On This Week’s Show: So here we are with another weekend of movies that Hollywood deemed unfit for critical consumption. Kevin and Neil call shenanigans on the studios this week in the Magical Studio in the Sky. Kevin had the gumption to go see the only press screening of Extract while Neil boycotted it out of principle. Word is that even the few press members who got to see Gamer had a chastity belt of a gag order, and All About Steve was only shown in limited markets. Meh! Such is Labor Day weekend. Go rent a DVD or Blu-ray instead of heading to the cinemas. There’s much more quality stuff out at the video store than in the theaters this week.

Episode 120 – One Fat Proposal

On This Week’s Show: Kevin and Neil say “Screw the new films!” and dive into a bed of controversy – Kevin for calling both Sarah Palin and David Letterman idiots and Neil for some racial comments we’re sure he’ll have to apologize for at some point. Oh, and they do talk a little bit about The Proposal and Year One. Later in the show, they unveil a Fat Guy Five about classic historical comedies, and Neil makes the case for Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb even though it was a contemporary comedy in the 60s. And the final answer has also been delivered as to whether Neil can do an effective Schwarzenegger impression.
