On This Week’s Show: Kevin and Neil reconnect in the Virtual Studio in the Sky. Neil insists it’s still magic while Kevin revels in the fact he can do the show in his underwear. Because Soul Men wasn’t screened for them, they spend their review time bidding adieu to Bernie Mac, who is in two new releases this week. Neil gives us his inaugural “Fat Guy Five” list, featuring his favorite CGI movies while Kevin attempts to derail him with the comedy antics of American History X.

On This Week’s Show: Kevin and Neil are recovering from the righteous wind storm that swept through the Midwest… or at least they’re using that as an excuse for not having seen all the movies this week. They unleash their wrath on Lionsgate and the Weinsteins for not screening films, and they give a little love for Sam Jackson and Ricky Gervais because their films were screened. There’s a nod to Stuart Townsend for his film in the indie spotlight (that both Kevin and Neil saw), and Kevin confesses his childhood trauma from Gordon Jump’s guest spot on Diff’rent Strokes. Oh no! Mister Carlson!

7M: WAS THE CHARACTER OF RAE BASED ON A REAL PERSON, AND CAN I HAVE HER PHONE NUMBER?
Unfortunately, she is based on a real person, and you’re talking to him. To be honest with you, I’m putting southern archetypes and cliches into movies. I’m putting all of my southern obsessions into one stew and mixing it all up. Even though it’s got this girl that’s out of control sexually, it’s really about anxiety. It’s really about fear.

When I had just written “Hustle and Flow,” and I was trying to get it made, my friends were like, hey you’re big time, and I couldn’t pay my rent. And I was on a plane, and I had this crippling anxiety attack, and I’d never had one before. You think you’re having a heart attack.

Don’t think I’m Sam Jackson in the movie. I’m that sexy girl on the end of that chain going crazy. I just don’t look as good as her.
