Then they disagree about films like Bridesmaids and Everything Must Go, with a nod to Hesher. They also answer a listener voicemail from the elusive Steve-Gabe before swerving into a discussion about whether Joss Whedon can handle The Avengers. Finally, they lay down a Fat Guy Five about ass-kicking religious figures in films before handing out some DVD recommendations.

On This Week’s Show: While Neil is off galavanting in Park City, Utah, stocking up on watching movies for the coming year at Sundance TwentyTen, Kevin is left alone in the Magical Studio in the Sky. To help keep him company is Fozzie Bare, stepping into Neil’s sizable shoes as guest host. In order to be as true to the spirit of Neil as he can, Fozzie refused to see any movies and just went by the trailers, but this leads to more interesting discussions, like Dwayne Johnson’s possible future in a Pretty Woman remake (in Julia Roberts’ role, no less) and the speculative marketplace for vampire fang dentures for the old and senile.
