The Idiot Boxers – Episode 36

Posted on July 18, 2011

In this very special episode: Kevin returns from his vacation sunburned and grumpy. Merrill welcomes him back with a signed photo of that hot British chick from Transformers: Turn Off the Dark of the Moon. They catch up, then head into the summer shows with what sucked and what rocked… with a few surprises along the way. Then they talk about TV news, including the Emmy nominations with shows that neither of them watch. Finally, Merrill breaks Kevin’s brain with his Sound Off before moving into DVD releases and Idiot Recommendations.

The Idiot Boxers – Episode 35

Posted on July 4, 2011

In this very special episode: Kevin gets caught up with the abundance of Victoria’s Secret pictures of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, so in a moment of brilliance, Merrill brings on Andrew Robsinson to fill in to help talk TV.

The Idiot Boxers – Episode 34

Posted on June 20, 2011

In this very special episode: Even though the early weeks of summer have left the Idiots with fewer options to watch, they have plenty to talk about in this episode. After some early shenanigans which include Amanda Seyfreid’s breasts and Merrill’s escort ads on Craigslist, the Idiots get down with their reviews of the current shows, including a look at the new TNT drama Falling Skies. Of course, things soon deteriorate in the episode as Kevin tells Walt Flanigan and a pot-smoking, chubby filmmaker what they can do with themselves. Later, Merrill actually complains about Flashpoint, and Kevin takes aim at fraudulant criminals in Extreme Couponing.

The Idiot Boxers – Episode 33

Posted on June 6, 2011

In this very special episode: With most of the season finales out of the way, the Idiots get ready for a short show… until they find FozzieBare squatting in the Magical Studio in the Sky. The more the merrier in Idiotville, so they invite Fozzie to join the show. Apparently the Rapture happens in the middle of the show because Fozzie disappears. But that doesn’t stop the Idiots from talking about what rocked, what sucked, TV news and how pornography can affect a podcast.

The Idiot Boxers – Episode 23

Posted on January 17, 2011

In this very special episode: The Idiots start off the show by chewing the fat to cover up the fact that there really wasn’t that much to watch these past few weeks. But they manage to talk about the things that rocked and the things that sucked. In particular, they take aim at some of the modern sci-fi and superhero television shows available on the dial. The Idiots also lay down some TV news, including what’s on the bubble, why Glee can have Justin Bieber and whether the Kennedys can take down basic cable television. Finally, they end with some DVD picks, recommendations and why Merrill is infuriated by sunglasses.

In this very special episode: With the first episode of 2011, the Idiot Boxers ring in the new year by talking about the best and worst of 2010. After reviewing the scant number of new shows over the past two weeks, they talk about what rocked and what sucked in the past year. Then, the Idiots moved on to sound-off, DVD picks and a couple recommendations. Happy 2011, folks!

The Idiot Boxers – Episode 21

Posted on December 20, 2010

In this very special episode: The world sheds a collective tear of sadness as we wrap up 2010 with the last episode of The Idiot Boxers until 2011 (which is just two weeks away, so it’s really not worth crying over). Kevin and Merrill run down some of the end-of-the-year finales and give their approval of various shows. Kevin tries to derail the show by hitting on Merrill’s cousin by proxy and describe creative uses of cream cheese. Merrill tries to keep things on task, but soon buckles to exhaustion. Then they talk about some TV news and hand out some family-friendly recommendations (which ends a rather family-unfriendly show). Sorry, Dawn from California.
