Lionsgate has given us the new film Jigsaw to reboot the franchise, and Kevin gives his thoughts about it. He also talks about everything from new films – Suburbicon, Thank You For Your Service, The Truth About Lies and The Babysitter – to David S. Pumpkins! Later, he offers some suggestions for the home cinema for Halloween, and he scares himself silly. Boo!*

The marathon this year runs from 12 noon May 19th until 12 noon May 20th at the Drexel Theater in Bexely, Ohio. This Week: Kevin celebrates the mid-month of Halloween by inviting newly-appointed FSR Editor-at-Large and resident horror movie fan Robert Fure into the Magical Studio in the Sky. There, they kick off their Sunday shoes and cut Footloose before making non-educated guesses about The Big Year. Then, Fure gives us the low-down on the new horror flick The Thing, after which Kevin takes a look at Lucky McKee’s The Woman and the new gross-out flick Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence). During the relatively clean middle segment, we get a Fat Guy Five about snowy films before rattling off some DVD recommendations. But Fure doesn’t disappoint his raunchy fan base because he looks up some great names for potential web sites.

And what better way to enjoy horror movies than to sit in a dark theater with a couple hundred of your closest friends and watch a dozen or so of them projected on the big screen. For this episode of Fat Guys at the Movies: Second Reel, Kevin invites Joe Neff into the Magical Studio in the Sky to talk about the annual Shock Around the Clock horror movie marathon in Columbus, Ohio. This year’s marathon runs from 12 noon October 23rd until 12 noon October 24th. Joe lets Kevin in on the current screening list and any special surprises that might happen during the night. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
