This Week: Even though it’s Halloween weekend, Hollywood has moved on to a period piece, sci-fi action and children’s fare. Kevin invites Jim Napier from GeekTyrant and Napier’s News to join him to talk about the films bridging the gap between Halloween and the holiday season. They contemplate fractured fairy tales, Justin Timberlake’s acting ability and whether Shakespeare should have blown up more shit in his plays. Then they hit the middle segment to talk box office, key news items and lay down a Fat Guy Five about spin-offs. Finally, it’s the DVD Rundown and a ghoulish exit… though not really.

Episode 234 – Oh, I Know What Furries Are

This Week: Kevin celebrates the mid-month of Halloween by inviting newly-appointed FSR Editor-at-Large and resident horror movie fan Robert Fure into the Magical Studio in the Sky. There, they kick off their Sunday shoes and cut Footloose before making non-educated guesses about The Big Year. Then, Fure gives us the low-down on the new horror flick The Thing, after which Kevin takes a look at Lucky McKee’s The Woman and the new gross-out flick Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence). During the relatively clean middle segment, we get a Fat Guy Five about snowy films before rattling off some DVD recommendations. But Fure doesn’t disappoint his raunchy fan base because he looks up some great names for potential web sites.

Episode 186 – The Big Fat Halloween Special

On This Week’s Show: It’s Halloween weekend, and that means the Fat Guys are more concerned about getting a big bag of candy instead of watching movies. This might account for the fact that neither of them saw Saw 3D… or maybe it was because like most of the other Saw movies, Lionsgate didn’t screen this one for press. That doesn’t stop the Fat Guys from talking about it, as well as a brief nod to the new Oscar-bait film Conviction, which Kevin did see. Neil is too tired in this episode to care either way. The show rolls on as Kevin tells how he almost got in a fight after seeing Paranormal Activity 2 before talking box office numbers and laying down a Fat Guy Five, in which he ranks the previous Saw movies.
