This Week: Kevin stares September in the face and dares it to show him its movies. September, of course, does not flinch, so he’s only had a chance to see a couple of them. (What might they be hiding.) Fortunately, he was able to see Sully as well as Complete Unknown and Our Little Sister. The films that hid from him this week are the sure-to-be-bad The Wild Life, When the Bough Breaks and The Disappointments Room. Kevin also takes a look at the encroachment of other holidays on Halloween, and later he talks about the box office and the home cinema recommendations.

Other films they break down sight-unseen include Silent Hill: Revelation, Fun Size and the Gerard Butler accent-fest Chasing Mavericks. After going through some box office surprises, they run down the DVDs, during which Kevin admits to his unnatural fascination with Tinkerbell.

They also talk about weird connections between mummies and grade school textbooks, Kevin’s 31 Days of Horror, the ability of Gary Busey to outlive his co-stars and why Kevin might start wearing a tie. Then it’s all about DVDs, which includes some of Kevin’s favorite monster movies. Kristin, however, looks on questionably with pink hair and a flannel shirt.
