Disney has brought another classic out of the vault: “Cinderella,” this time on high definition Blu-ray. The iconic Disney fairy tale is one of the classic installments in Disney Princess animation. It tells the well-known story of a girl whose father dies and ends up in the clutches of her evil step-mother. When the Prince throws a ball to find his true love, Cinderella gets help from her Fairy Godmother to attend the ball. But when she has to leave before he knows who she is, Cinderella finds herself in a search of the kingdom with her evil step-sisters blocking the way.
This is classic Disney animation at its best and, while it’s a bit stuffy for today’s audiences, it still has the charm and beauty that made this animation house famous. The new presentation on Blu-ray offers a deeper look into the Disney classic.
The package comes with the Blu-ray with new bonus features. These includes the animated short “Tangled Ever After” as well as a never-before-seen alternate opening. Additional featurettes include “Behind the Magic: A New Disney Princess Fantasyland” and “The Real Fairy Godmother.” There’s also a personalized digital storybook as well as integrated features to connect with your tablet or PC while watching. Finally, the package comes with a DVD bonus disc which includes the film and limited bonus material.
