OSNAP: That’s Why They Invented Bathtubs
Well, the end of the world didn’t happen, so you’re stuck with the OSNAP gang for at least another Mayan b’ak’tun. As the new year kicks off, Kevin and Merrill reflect on 2012 and the changes that happened, like puberty in a pimply teenager. Merrill looks back on his struggles, and Kevin personally blames Merrill for the death of Jesus. Kevin tells some stories about traveling to his grandmother’s funeral over the break and how the culture of the area is just a bit different up the mountain. He also bemoans the ridiculous liquor laws in Pennsylvania that promote alcoholism more than prevent teenagers from buying beer. They also talk a little bit about poop and farts, too. Oh, snap!

OSNAP: Upside-Down with a Twist
With the end of the world approaching in just a couple days, do Kevin and Merrill hunker down with their loved ones and enjoy each other’s company for their final days on this earth before Brian the Mayan Winged Serpent rains hellfire down on them? Nope. They get on the horn with each other and talk about utter nonsense. Things seem repetitive with some complaining about Twitter drama and overly critical critics of critics. But Merrill mixes things up with some choice words about the oft-unseen late-90s horror non-classic Jack Frost. Later, Kevin offers some creepy love for porn star Mia Malkova and her amazing flexibility. Kevin also lays down some ire about The Hollywood Reporter’s “Women in Entertainment 2012: Power 100” issue, and it has nothing to do with oral sex. Oh, snap!

OSNAP: Dude, Seriously?
Hanukkah continues in the Magical Studio in the Sky with Merrill rattling off memorized Hebrew sayings throughout the show. Kevin then grills Merrill about how Jewish people actually pray, and Merrill has no good answers for him. Kevin continues to talk about feeling conflicted and uncomfortable during the show, but things look up when he describes the awesomeness of slutty brownies (which he calls the turducken of desserts). Later, Kevin and Merrill complain a little more about bloggers who get jealous about silly things and others that want to recall geek cards from anyone who doesn’t bleed green-copper blood. Finally, Kevin caps off the show with a disturbing stripper story. Oh, snap!

Kevin and Merrill celebrate Hanukkah in the Magical Studio in the Sky by examining how much energy it takes to be Anti-Semitic. They also talk about the insane amount of energy that is needed to keep up with online drama and coordinate an “Elf of the Shelf” campaign for kids. All of this leads to the discovery that Kevin and Merrill are such nice guys because they are just too damn lazy to officially hate anyone or any group. They also look ahead to Award Season by talking about the multitude of “For Your Consideration” screeners that Kevin has received, and this leads Kevin to focus all of his lazy hatred on Judd Apatow and his latest film, This Is 40. There’s a brief apology to some loyal listeners for skimping on the stories about poop, porn and drunkenness. There’s also a revelation as to why Kevin’s youngest son swears so much. Oh, snap!

Kevin and Merrill return to the Magical Studio in the Sky after a weekend of stuffing and shopping. Okay, so it’s more stuffing than shopping, but they enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday nonetheless. They celebrate their return by bemoaning the bemoaning of Black Friday and dissecting the social significance of scratching your ass in public. Kevin also shares the insane response to a bomb scare at his children’s school district. Finally, Kevin and Merrill pass on the poop talk this week to chat about Angus T. Jones’ Christ-driven career suicide after Kevin declares that Rihanna possibly deserves (and by “possibly,” he means “definitely”) to be punched in the face for her relationship with Chris Brown as well as her pointlessness to the universe. Poopy poopy, fart fart, giggle giggle, snort snort. That’s pretty much the discussion on this week’s OSNAP, in which Kevin and Merrill decide to lose all credibility and respectability. It didn’t start out that way, sure. It begins with a charming story of Gangnam Style dancing morphing into Hammer Time. But soon things get inappropriate with some unintentional racial humor and Kevin questioning Merrill’s sexual habits. Things get briefly intellectual when Kevin reads a piece of hate mail from a grammar Nazi who doesn’t use proper grammar. Then it’s back to poop again. We’re so easy. Oh, snap!

OSNAP: Did I Just Say ‘Clitoris’?
After a grueling two-week hiatus, thanks to the devastating effects of Hurricane Sandy on the Eastern seaboard, Merrill finally returns to the Magical Studio in the Sky a bit soggy but still hopping mad. He celebrates his return by declaring there will never be a piece of technology that will throw him for a loop as he gets older. He also mispronounces the word “clitoris,” so take all that bluster with a grain of salt. Kevin seeks to enlighten Merrill on the great Peter North and how pornography actually works. The education continues with a bizarrely cogent explanation of the Electoral College. But things get crazy again in the final segment when Kevin tells the story of how old people are scared of computers and that he is still determined to make his chubby beefcake calendar. Oh, snap!

They also talk about how Merrill’s dog is able to outsmart every member of his family. Kevin ties the conversation to South Park twice, bemoaning the current netherworld between physical media and streaming awesomeness. He also makes a shocking comment about Christina Hendricks’ boobs. And speaking of famous sci-fi connections, Merrill shares a wonderful photo op he had at the New York Comic-Con, with an overly eager Dalek. Then, after some crazy talk about greedy grocery shoppers wanting free turkeys, Kevin turns his attention towards insane preschool mothers who won’t let anyone yell at their kids. Oh, snap!

OSNAP: Sketti!
In the sophomore episode of OSNAP, Kevin and Merrill continue their sophomoric discussions about their experiences of the past week. Merrill confirms to Kevin that he doesn’t actually read all of his emails, which can impact him financially. Then Kevin talks about showing his kids all the Alien and Predator movies, as well as what constitutes adult content in a film that he won’t let his kids see. Finally, they take aim at one of the Seven Horsemen of the Apocalypse known as Honey Boo Boo Child. Kevin explains the repercussions of making the secret Honey Boo Boo family recipe for “sketti.” Oh, and Kevin also tries to get Merrill to try a new game, from the Honey Boo Boo repertoire.
