The Idiot Boxers – Episode 29

In this very special episode: Right out of the gate, Kevin shares too much about his private life, derailing Merrill in the way only an idiot could. They still manage to talk about what they liked in television over the past couple weeks, which leads to a potentially colon-destroying scientific experiement for Kevin. After rattling through some surprisingly relevant television news, the Idiots head back to the “What Sucks” category, which causes more chuckles from Kevin because he’s an immature ass. Then they finish out the show with a sound-off, DVD picks and recommendations.

This Week: Kevin invites Elisabeth “Rattlesnake” Rappe from Chud.com and Film.com into the Magical Studio in the Sky to talk about alcoholics in movies, ass-kicking kids and faaaaaabulous hair-dos in fantasy films. The show is promptly derailed only a few minutes in when Elisabeth reminds Kevin about his bottled-up feelings for 80s-era Grace Jones, and Elisabeth opens up about certain films on late-night Cinemax later in the show. They also find time to talk about Arthur, Hanna, Your Highness and Soul Surfer as well as David Bowie’s alarming codpiece from Labyrinth. It’s a crazy time this week on Fat Guys!

This Week: Well, if you haven’t figured it out by now, Kevin and Neil were not offered a lucrative script-writing job for the new Justice League movie. In fact, Neil was fooled by the whole first day of April, so Kevin invited Shannon Hood from FrothyGirlz.com into the Magical Studio in the Sky to talk about the wash of original films opening this spring. They also give a quick recap of the South by Southwest Film Festival before listing a new Fat Guy Five: Five Unlikely Holiday Films, then handing out some DVD and Blu-ray picks.

Episode 208 – Month Four Morons

This Week: Neil and Kevin say farewell to the Fat Guys at the Movies podcast after receiving an offer to co-write the new script for The Justice League. In their farewell show, they say good-bye to old friends and new before hosting a massive toga party for the entire blogosphere. Neither has seen any of the movies this week because that’s how they roll, but they do offer an appropriate Fat Guy Five as well as hand out their favorite DVD and Blu-ray (and VHS) picks of all time.
