This Week: Preparing for the long Christmas weekend, Kevin invites fellow critic and live-tweeter Mel Valentin into the Magical Studio in the Sky for an early episode. Together, they look at the 586 new releases this holiday week, including The Adventures of Tintin, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and War Horse. They also take a quick look at some of the award films in limited release before talking box office, examine the latest The Dark Knight Rises and The Hobbit trailers and answer some long-overdue listener feedback. After laying out a Fat Guy Five about English-language remakes, Kevin and Mel whip through the DVD Rundown and then sail away into the sunset.

All of this is wrapped up in the final minutes of 2010 with some of the most lackluster DVD and Blu-ray picks in months. Should old acquaintance be forgot… Bring on 2011!
