Kevin says Warcraft SUCKS!
This Week: Kevin takes a few shots at the Warcraft success in China and LGBT demands for Pixar and Star Wars before launching into the reviews of the sequels of the summer, including The Conjuring 2 and Now You See Me 2. Other films reviewed include Warcraft, Maggie’s Plan and Rabin: The Last Day. In the final segment, Kevin offers a bit of Ghostbusters love with a Fat Guy Movie Food Review of the Key Lime Slime Twinkie and the Hi-C Ecto-Cooler, before talking about some of the home cinema recommendations for the week.

On This Episode: It’s springtime. It’s May. There’s another threat of a world apocalypse/rapture. That means it’s time for the annual 24-hour Ohio Science Fiction Marathon. Kevin welcomes long-time marathon friend and historian Joe Neff back to the Magical Studio in the Sky to look at this year’s confirmed list of films. The marathon this year runs from 12 noon May 19th until 12 noon May 20th at the Drexel Theater in Bexely, Ohio. In addition to the films discussed, there will be two or three unconfirmed premieres, plus classic trailers, short subjects, cartoons and other special features to keep you awake into the wee hours of the morning. On April 1, Fat Guy Kevin Carr rolled into the FOX 28 studios in Columbus, Ohio for a weekly movie review segment. This week, he talked about Source Code, Hop, Insidious and Trust.

This Week: Well, if you haven’t figured it out by now, Kevin and Neil were not offered a lucrative script-writing job for the new Justice League movie. In fact, Neil was fooled by the whole first day of April, so Kevin invited Shannon Hood from FrothyGirlz.com into the Magical Studio in the Sky to talk about the wash of original films opening this spring. They also give a quick recap of the South by Southwest Film Festival before listing a new Fat Guy Five: Five Unlikely Holiday Films, then handing out some DVD and Blu-ray picks.
This Week: Neil and Kevin say farewell to the Fat Guys at the Movies podcast after receiving an offer to co-write the new script for The Justice League. In their farewell show, they say good-bye to old friends and new before hosting a massive toga party for the entire blogosphere. Neither has seen any of the movies this week because that’s how they roll, but they do offer an appropriate Fat Guy Five as well as hand out their favorite DVD and Blu-ray (and VHS) picks of all time.
