Idiot Boxers Review: Entourage, Ep: 7.03

TV review by Merrill Barr, co-host of The Idiot Boxers

Show: Entourage
Airs: HBO, Sundays, 10:30pm
Episode: “”Dramedy”

Episode synopsis: E and Drama tap an Emmy award winning writer to write Drama’s new TV show. Scott start getting to close to Vince for E’s comfort. Ari may have more than just his wife to deal with at work.

Major developments: Lizzie quite after Ari refuses to make her the head of the TV department at the agency. All the girls walk on Turtle after he asks to cut their salaries. E and Drama find a script that may work as a TV series and John Stamos is interested.

What rocked: Last weak I said I was hating Turtles story line this season. Well it did a complete 180 for me and not I really like it. I like seeing him take his life into his own hands. Throughout the series, he always felt like the odd man out of the group, but not anymore. He is really coming into his own and it is great to see. I am also liking the Ari story line. The issues with Lizzie, his wife, and the NFL is a great “love triangle” for him. Now that Lizzie quit, I have a feeling that he is going to go into a tail spin. I am also on the fence with Drama’s story line. One the one hand, I like seeing him try his hardest to get this show made, on the other, he is an absolute douche bag.

What sucked: Vince is becoming a really annoying backdrop this season and it needs to stop. I really hope that there is an explanation for all this wacky behavior because if there isn’t then I will have lost faith in the writers to handle their main character.

Final thoughts: A decent episode of Entourage. I just need this Vince thing to fix itself

What’s next: Drama meet with Stamos, E and Scott patch things up for the well being of Vince, Ari learns Lizzie is doing much more than quitting.
