Idiot Boxers Review: Entourage, Ep: 7.01

Episode: “Stunted”
Episode synopsis: While shooting his latest flick, the director decides everyone would be better off if Vince did his own stunt. To bad no one else agrees.
Major developments: The season premiere of Entourage immediately kicks off with Turtle as the head of his own town car service. No explanation as to how he started it, but it’s in full swing none the less. Drama learns that the studio is just biding their time till his contract expires in eight weeks, at which point they will cut him loose. We also see Vince is heavy into the production of a new film, no word yet on what the film is though. Looks actiony.
What rocked: By now, all the characters have grown into their own on the show. E is working at the management agency, Turtle has his own business, Vince is getting movies left and right, and Drama… OK, well almost everyone has grown into their own. It’s great watching them all operate independently, and I just hope that when their storyline’s do clash, which they will, that is delivers like every other season of the show.
What sucked: Surprisingly, this episode, though great in the way it showed the development of E, Vince, Turte, Drama, and Ari, was short on actual funny moments. This isn’t the first time this has happened to Entourage. It just felt like this episode moved particularity fast, but we have plenty more of season seven headed our way, which should lead to plenty of gags to laugh at.
Final thoughts: Overall, not one of the strongest season premieres of the show but it will do. Just hope the humor picks up.
What’s next: A public relations crises erupts over Vince’s new film.
