Idiot Boxers Review: Burn Notice, Ep: 402

Show: Burn Notice
Airs: USA, Thursdays, 9pm
Episode: “Fast Friends”
Episode synopsis: Michael, after accidentally burning a fellow spy, helps him get the heat of his back and, potentially make him an ally.
Major developments: Michael and the spy he burned, Jesse Porter, develop a working a relationship. Starting with Michael taking Jesse on as a client to get a gangster to stop chasing him. By episodes end, Jesse reveals his plans for who ever burned him and, they aren’t pretty.
What rocked: With Fiona and Sam finally on good terms, we need a new hot head. Jesse is that hot head. He is, as described by Sam “a lone gunman.” He is constantly disobeying every order Michael gives him, which leads to some great drama. We also see some more great moments from Madeline. The episode also featured one of the better shoot outs we have seen from the series.
What sucked: We have reached a new low in Weston accents. This one was just flat out bad. Sorry Donovan, it really was.
Final thoughts: This was the beginning of a struggle we will probably see from Michael, at least through the first half of the season. How can he co-exist with someone in the same situation as him. On top of which, he is the cause for. Here’s hoping all of this continues (minus some certain accents of course).
What’s next: Jesse is going to become a regular member of the team which will hopefully lead to a fresh dynamic the show has just begun to need.
