Idiot Boxers Review: Burn Notice, Ep: 4.03

TV review by Merrill Barr, co-host of The Idiot Boxers
Show: Burn Notice
Airs: USA, Thursdays, 9pm
Episode: “Made Man”
Episode synopsis: While investigating some shady shipments coming into port, Jesse and Michael take on a client that wants to rid the docks of the mob.
Major developments: Michael’s mother figures out the truth of why Jesse is here and saying she is displeased would be an understatement. The team also gets a hold of some shipping records that will hopefully lead them to the evil man Michael is hunting.
What rocked: This episode marks the return of Sam’s alter ego Chuck Finley. For the record, this is probably the best version of Finley we have seen on the show. A very sarcastic attitude with a hint of “I could kill you at any moment and get away with it.” Some of Campbell’s best work on the show to date. Also, the final moments of the episode between Michael and Madeline is exactly why the show is a dramedy and not a comedy. It was just perfect.
What sucked: Cobra…
Final thoughts: Overall, another decent episode of Burn Notice. It is clear that the Jesse character is, slowly, coming into his own.
What’s next: Well, the preview for the next episode didn’t show much but, when you hear Michael say “If there was ever a time to pull out all the stops, this is it” that pretty much sums it up as far as I am concerned.
