A Christmas Proposal Rated PG Studio: Phase 4 Release date: November 10, 2009 Formats available: DVD Kevin says A Christmas Proposal kinda sucks! Movie: ** DVD experience: * |

A Christmas Proposal is a light-hearted romantic comedy about a layer named Rick Field (David O’Donnell) who returns to his home town to help a real estate tycoon who wants to develop the land. Rick’s old flame Lisa Donahue (Nicole Eggert) plans to stop the development, and their old college friends keep trying to fix them up again.
A Christmas Proposal is cute enough, but it does fall into a relatively pendantic story. We’ve seen this all before, though cliches are the heart and soul of romantic comedies. Nicole Eggert is looking a bit rough from the years, and David O’Donnell tries too hard to channel Dr. McDreamy from Grey’s Anatomy. Still, if you’re one of the folks who just has to watch TV movies like Holiday in Handcuffs each year, you’ll enjoy this one.
